I've noticed that Ogres defeated in the Prison of Elders don't count towards the kills tracked in my grimoire. Is this intended or is it just a slight oversight in how the kills are tallied?

I think PoE is considered a Raid, and Raid kills don't count toward grimoire. Otherwise I would have been done with Ogres a while back 😀

Ya, that would make sense. However, a kill's a kill. I just would like confirmation.

I agree, but from what I heard they did it to keep people from using the Raids to level up, do bounties, or increase grimoire score. The real question is why is PoE considered a raid? I know it is because I got the achievement for completing a raid with all clan members after my first PoE with my friends. But still, it is a lot easier than a real raid..

By the way, could you tell me of any good hunting spots? I know theres one that spawns in the grotto and in skywatch in the hole in the cliffside on the Fallen side.. Other than that there's an important target mission on the moon that'll get you two for one. I also need to finish off more Vex Hydra too if you don't mind sharing some valuable intel.

For farming ogres I would do the shrine or oryx mission on the easiest difficulty. There is an ogre at the last checkpoint that you can kill, wipe, and repeat as many times as you need

Thanks. That sounds as effective as glimmer farming in the exclusions zone. So, wipe immediately after I kill the ogre...do I need to keep anything alive? It's been a while since I've played that mission.

I've heard that too. I've been meaning to try and get the flawless raider trophy from doing it; i think that's what it's called. Anyway, thanks for replying. The rep will probably collaborate what you've said. I'll just have to keep hunting them as have almost enough ogre kills to get the glimmer bonus. I'm sitting on 3375 grimoire score so, it seems like I might as well finish what I started.

For hydras, do Mars patrol and go to valley of the Kings (where you enter the Black Garden portal). A red bar hydra spawns every 1.5 minutes or so. Double it up with weapons as well. I ran it a few times with a Universal Remote / Swordbreaker combo to get shotgun kills while I was farming hydras. Stacking these challenges is the fastest way to rank up grimoire. For ogres, I agree with previous poster that shrine of oryx is best. There is a YouTube video on farming ogres that lays out how to do it. Also remember to swing by the Temple of Crota whenever you are on the moon as well to get the ogre inside.

I will definitely consider that when I go online later. I particularly like stacking the challenges. Especially, running two shotties. Major Bump!
