Which one do you think will be better on shotguns and why?
Reduce Shot Package Accuracy buff by 30%
Rangefinder adds a 5% base Range increase on ADS (was 20%)
Reduce Precision Damage multiplier on Shotguns by 10%
Reduce damage against AI combatants by 10%
Here's what they say they are doing.

Just use found verdict and shoot twice problem solved full auto will be the OP pwrk

I like cookies.

That 75% nerf to rangefinder will completely destroy it. The nerf to shot package isn't that big of a deal. You probably won't be getting crazy snipes anymore but it will still add some much needed pellet condensing at tail end of short range.
-
You look cute today

I have 3 matadors with shot package, rangefinder, and full auto respectively. I'm guessing shot package will be best, but it really depends on that spread. Full auto may be the way to go for just nailing that second shot faster. Bungie has a track record of vague and poor descriptions of the changes they are really making in the patch notes. We really won't know how it will go until playing.
-
Shot package will still be king.
-
Shot Package suffered from about a 1/3 nerf. Rangefinder suffered from 3/4.
-
Maybe neither? This game has a track record of nerfing things into complete unusability, I fear that could be the case here.

Edited by Dahm: 7/20/2015 10:51:51 PMEasily still shot package... If you were a rangefinder man, shotpackage will be an easy fit. The question, is how well will current shot packagers adapt
-
Rangefinder for PvP.
-
Reducing precision damage by 10% means you now have to have more bullets land crits in order to do damage so shotpackage still.
-
Rangefinder turned into mulligan. Welcone to the 5% club!
-
Shot package the 30% nerf to it won't make to big of a difference
-
Shotpackage

I've made mention about what Rangefinder will be doing post 2.0. Currently, it gives 4 range to a base stat Felwinter's Lie when aiming down sight. From 20, to 24. After 2.0, it will give 1 range while aiming down sight. So all things nominal, 21 range. This is just going by the database stat of 20 base range. Of course, since it is % based, if the gun has more or less range from Ballistic packages then the number will be adjusted. I honestly don't know the numbers for Shot Package, so I couldn't tell you what the nerf does. I am inclined to think it will be around the same effectiveness as Rangefinder, so nearly useless.
-
We shall see.... I'm worried the shot package nerf is going to make the perk useless, and rangefinder wasn't the best anyway..

Edited by Lib3ralwithaGun: 7/20/2015 10:32:40 PMShot Package, by those numbers, without actually testing it. Basically, I think it means the shots will spread out more and you will have to be about 30% closer than you used to be. Rangefinder will be useless after this update. Might as well fire from the hip.

Bump.
