A few weeks ago I uninstalled destiny from my system to save up memory space for other games. I thought to myself, "I can always just re-install it if I really wanted to play again.",and that's where exactly my problem lies. I went to re-install it and I re- installed the compatibility updates and what not. Everything was going smooth until the moment that the, "transferring game content" hit 100% and then continued to repeat itself. It is now 7 hours later and the circle is still going and repeating. I was curious to see if any others have had this issue and if so, how do I fix it!? Any help would be very and deeply appreciated! I'm on PS3 with disc.

@armymason33 did you ever get it to work? I just bought this game for my son and have the same issue. the 5.96gb file just keeps looping over and over i have tried clearing everything and deleting all destiny files and just does the same thing over and over.

Ditto, still won't complete.

Delete the saved data from you system. there is a file labeled Destiny, get rid of that. Turn off the Playstation. Turn back on and verify there is no Destiny data left. Install fresh. Bungie stores all your character data on their end, so you will have lost nothing. If this does not work, read this Playstation Maintaince and cures for Destiny Issues. and find the process for "rebuilding database" on your PS3. it is easy, but you need to follow steps carefully. That will fix any corrupt files on PS3 hard disk. Good luck.
