This is just a little change up of the forums due to the whole weapon tuning thing.
Now I don't mean for this to break out into arguments ok guys I'm just generally curious as to how the rest of the destiny community judges other players without ever meeting or playing with them.
Me personally I look at grimoire score, only because it shows how dedicated someone is to completely maxing out the game.
But like I said no arguments, hey you might even learn something and improve your character so it impresses other people without even playing with them.
Edit 1: my bad for not explaining myself about the grimoire. I won't disallow anyone into my raid team, Poe team etc if their grimoire score is low however I will change my playstyle to be more serious. For example if a level 34 is in my raid team and they have 1000 grimoire score then I will change my playstyle to be more serious and more descriptive in my actions due to the fact they have not done said raid before. My bad for not explain that sorry.
Edit 2: I'm so glad with the outcome of this post. Almost no arguments and people talking nice to each other and giving their constructive feedback based on their "judgment system" it's been lovely reading all of your replies and even engaging in conversations with some of you. Nice to see we still have a lovely polite community of guardians after the whole ordeal lately, this will be my last edit for this post guys but I hope to see you all in the battlefield some day guardians :) happy killing

I judge people on their gamer tag. I am rarely wrong.
-
By skill. Nothing more or less.

Edited by Atomic: 7/23/2015 12:52:07 AMBy the light level, skill, team playing and they can't do anything stupid while alive that's the noob test
-
Grimiore, but I've been proven wrong several times. Other than that I can tell who a try hard is by their clan name
-
For my respect, a person needs at least 2900 grimoire. I also make the exception for skilled players under 2900.
And yes, I know that my respect isn't worth anything to someone online.
-
With judgment.
-
Pvp players that use K/D as any response in an argument = neckbeard virgin scrub
-
I'm not the best player in crucible. But even a low grimoire player can be really good. So I judge after I've played with them.
-
I look at grimoire for experience. Just to see how much time you've spent with the game. Doesn't matter what it is, you get to stay in my Fireteam.
-
Grimoire and gear. Especially gear.
-
Deaths.... if you die in lvl 28 poe I wont be running skolas with you. If you die on the confluxs you wont be invited to vog again. And so on.
-
Grimoire or if there gamer tag has 69 somewhere in there.

Edited by GrundleBeans: 7/23/2015 12:38:31 AMI.. Don't..? I mean I either want to play with you or not because I have a good time playing with you, I feel like you're better than me and I want to get as good as yo, or I want to help you get better. I don't exclude people, I just avoid those who annoy me with chatter in fire teams. That's it.
-
"Lol, scrub, you had a 1.22 K/D for that match. Check out my 2.5, loser." "You got 10 kills. I got 32. Seriously?"
-
Their ability to adjust to a situation but still be able to work with people

Communication and how respectful are you

I dont, well, just yesterday was in nightfall with one random 34, I invited a 32, the random 34 messages me "kick him?, we are gonna have to carry" I kind of read in disbelief and leave the group. These kinds of players need to (insert rudeness here) There is nothing wrong with a 32 wanting to do a 32 nightfall. This was honna be the 3rd nightfall I ran with this random 34, I wish I would have known sooner.
-
Simply by the first conversation. It depends on what we're doing. Nightfalls, I don't really care as long as you're 34. VoG? I don't feel like spending 4 hours trying to carry so I'll see who mows what to do and leave if I know it'll take more than an hour. CE? Dont care, just need a warlock and a sword bearer. POE? dont care. Skolas? Obviously need to assess whether it'll take too long with what they know and have. THIS should be the way "judging" should go. I prefer to use the term assess.

For PvE I generally look at grimoire. Not to judge skill level, but maybe knowledge/familiarity with whatever you're doing. PvP, generally what armor they're using (is it for the correct subclass?), and weapons/perks.
-
Hey man I brought my Lego's and maybe we can play!
-
I'll never use kd, because if you're anything like me, you answer your phone in the middle of the match, answer the door in the middle of a match, etc etc. KD is for people who quit the second they go negative by 1 point in a game. AKA they're not really good, they just quit til they can win
-
I don't judge people cause I'm not stuck in the threat system of my mind.
-
By playing the game with them, or if I meet them in the forums. If they don't piss me off, then we are cool.
-
KD ratio and knowledge of the games mechanics. What weapons they use as well.
-
Harshly
-
Not by the color of their shader. We are all equal
