Usually I check what they have equipped for the activity we are doing, seeing if they have the right wpns for the enemy shields or burn for the level. Also armor stats being unbalanced is a good indicator. If the have 0 intelligence and strength over 400 it's likely the only gear that puts them at that lvl. I try to give ppl the benefit of the doubt but more often than not bad equipment is a red flag
