Gally really isn't that rare. I've had 7 or 8 of them across all the activities. I even bought one from Xur when he sold it 10 days after release. I don't understand how anyone can call it rare when everybody had the chance to buy it for 17 Strange Coins in week 2.
Everybody, and I mean everybody I play with has at least one, and I play with a lot of people.

I don't expect to see one to be honest. Every time I see it drop in PvE it goes to somebody who already has multiple copies. Seen plenty in crucible as well - to good performers and to last place finishers.

I bought just 1 from squiggle face. I've had 8 since. Gally is not rare.

I play with plenty of people that have it as well. Rare is a subjective word and is perspective based. I don't think food is rare but there are some hungry people out there who do. Some people may not have seen a last word drop even though they really want one. I've seen 6+ of that and several other exotics drop but not one gally, no land beyond or dragon's breath not saying I need those others but those are the drops I don't ever see. My rare and your rare are different.
