It seems to have the same structure, ligaments and armor as the mech, and it has strange energy projection devices on its forearms, but they don't seem to activate offensively.

[b]Katt drops down onto the large mech and attempts to rip open a panel straining her cybernetic arms[/b]

The droid approaching Etana turns its head quickly to glare at you as you attempt to sabotage the mech, and whips out the rifle on its hip with one hand and aims it at you. It fires two bullets, one into your chest, the other into your right shoulder. You fall off of the hulking walker, dazed as blood gushes from your wounds. You land heavily among the ferns.

The rounds merely bounce off of its armor. It raises the rifle again, aiming for your head. It fires, but luckily enough, your hand aiming the Messenger blocks the way to your face, and the bullet enters your palm, breaking the grip of the pistol. Blood spills out of your hand.
