1859+ hours still no Ghorn!
I am very close to giving up on this game for a while until TTK. I have earned/purchased every single exotic in the game except for the one and only Gjallarhorn! I do Every weekly Nightfall, Crota and VOG on both difficulties, PoE, Crucible, Trial of Osiris, Strike Playlist, EVERYTHING. I do everything in this game that it has to offer and I STILL don't have the weapon. I could care less about it being nerf'd, I just want the damn weapon. I always see people that have 3x's less hours put into the game and they get it right in front my face, it's such a tease! I told myself I wouldn't go to the forums to complain about it but I've given up Bungie. I know Xür may not sell it but I kinda wish he did. Please I need a break from this game until The Taken King. I would like to play other games sometimes. I am very dedicated to this game so all I ask for is Gjallarhorn... I'm probably wasting my time complaining on here anyways... It's like Gjallarhorn don't exist for me... :/

That's the reason people keep playing. The RNG system is not tipped in our favor but we keep thinking, this is the time I get what I want. After so many times it would seem there would be a way. We even have a guy that sells stuff illegally and no matter what we tell him we want he never brings it. Xur shouldn't even come to my tower. I would tell the speaker if I could. I've strayed from my point, sorry. You can't play to strive to be competitive. You can only play for fun. If you realize that you've been missing out on a big piece of your fun for long enough you'll realize, it's not really fun at all. It's abusive, engaging in or characterized by habitual cruelty.
