Is anyone else leaving destiny if TTK fails?

No

Simple question. If TTK turns out to be overhyped will you leave? EDIT: Why would I leave if TTK is a disappointment? Because this is the last chance and last straw. I've given bungie to many chances, and too much money. This DLC is gonna be the most expensive and if I get an overhyped Piece of horse shit again then I'm done. To be honest though, bungie has Greatly improved the game since the TDB disaster. So I highly doubt they'll ruin this DLC. Check out the "#Desticlestanman" tag to view more of my threads

If Destiny fails, welp back to Halo, battlefield, steam games and call of duty. 343 is doing better than Bungie;what a shame lol.

  • Yea TTK will be Bungie's last chance with Destiny. They need to get it right and it needs to be good, the game needs to be what everyone thought it was going to be Even though non-US countries are getting shafted on the price (£40 = $62), the money for me is not an issue, but the value for that money is. Destiny's track record so far is weak, very weak. Cut content, poor weapon balance and lack of addressing this in a timely manner (been something crazy like 150 days since the last weapon patch!), bad story telling, and lack of imagination of new content is not looking good. Unfortunately Bungie will need to address each of these for Destiny to live on strongly. Dont get me wrong I love playing Destiny with all its flaws, met some great people along the way. But with soooooo many awesome games on the horizon, TTK will have to be incredible and massive step in the right direction to keep me playing. Good luck Bungie, I think you will need it sadly

  • The DLC track record isn't looking too good. Beside the fact that the main game was overall a disappointment, the following is true in my honest opinion: The Dark Below: a polished turd. Looked pretty nice, but the Raid was a joke. It was broken and easily exploitable. No real problem solving needed, just kill and kill some more. The exotic upgrades with Xur were poorly executed (I STILL haven't fully reupgraded my Patience and Time from that stupid process) and the armor to get to 32 looked ugly, and was the only way to be successful at 32 (until weaker IB gear came out later). Eris missions were uninspired repeats of places we've already been, just backwards. And Omnigul is the worst strike of them all. House of Wolves: Bungie redeemed themselves with this expansion, however there are some issues I'll address. Prison of Elders is not an acceptable substitute for a proper Raid. I understand that since Crota was a major disappointment, they wanted to hold off. PoE is a bit cheap though. Dismantling Mines is a joke and is very off-putting. It's caused more lame deaths than any other game type in PvE. Trials of Osiris is not the mode it was meant to be. I imagine Bungie wanted competitive PvP that brings out the best in its participants. Trials has brought out the worst in players, from basic exploitation to outright cheating, all for the sake of going to a Lighthouse. Bungie does not know what a monster it has created with this PvP gametype. I was unimpressed by Trials when I saw it on the Twitch Stream, and after playing it, I can confirm that it is not an excellent gametype. Weapon Balance 1.1.1 This bs is the worst. 5 slaps to the man who 'OK'ed this travesty. Thorn is bullshit. 3 hits to the head... cool. Reminds me of Halo 1. The poison after the fact... unacceptable. I wouldn't be so irritated by it if I wasn't forced to use it or a small handful of other guns to successfully counter it. Furthermore, in EVERY PvP match, someone is using it. It's worse than Suros because of DoT, and sniping capabilities. Auto Rifles were reduced to trash. Thanks for admitting this and making a change soon. Felwinters... I don't even need to finish this statement. Shotguns shouldn't end you from 10 feet away. This isn't Halo, I know, but you had to be in someone's chest to instakill. It required some skill... Destiny shotgunning requires minimal skill. The class supers are unbalanced. Hunters can get multiple separate kills from one super activation. Golden Gun is at worst 3 kills and Bladedancer is almost invincible and fast as hell for its 15 or so seconds of duration. Their supers are better than the other two classes. Titans get a panic mode super that is an immediate instakill. Not to mention they get a Tiger Knee that would make Sagat proud. Warlocks Nova Bomb is a panic crutch as well... Sunsinger res is annoying. Lol. I will be on board for Destiny for the long haul. It pisses me off alot, but the gunplay is superb. The fact that there is nothing else like Destiny is the only thing saving it at the moment. I predict that Halo 5 will take the majority of the wind out of the sails for Bungie, unless they tighten up a few things. I've not mentioned everything, but you guys know the good and the bad. Keep trying Bungie. Work smarter, nor harder.

Your complaints will not change the price...if you enjoy destiny than buy it if your getting bored don't it's as simple as that I pre ordered mine and it didn't even make a dent in my wallet. Gaming has always been an expensive hobby. Should all know this by now

      • Bungie pretty much has to hit a home run with Taken King. Given all the bad PR they've had in the last month or so and given how hard Activision is pushing the DLC, it had better be the best videogame DLC EVER CREATED in the history of gaming. I mean I don't know any other "DLC" that got its own Collector's Edition, its own exclusive PS4 console bundle, and its own preorder bonuses. They are trying to hard to lure people back in, if Taken King isn't spectacular Bungie is going to be the laughing stock of the gaming community.

Halo Gears Cod Fifa --------------- Those are the games that will bang the last nail on destiny's shit hollow repetitive coffin. The market place is décolleté for strong games right now which is the only reason destiny is doing so well. All will change when the real pvp games come out

          • Nope. I'll stay for the long run. In my opinion, if you have fun playing a game, it doesn't matter if it's good or bad, you're still gonna play it. I know a lot of people can't handle the "grind," if that's the case, they shouldn't have bought this game in the first place...

            • I pre-ordered. I love the game.. there are many annoying flaws. But there are many positives as well. I think the biggest being the space adventure and hoping for something more. But if TTK fails like TDB and the raid is small and easily cheesed, the new hidden gear is shit and we don't get a new planet to explore, but more backwards shit on earth.. then the game will go on the back burner for 2-4 years and I'll play catch up.. That is, if they release something worth playing and not more repeats of a repeat.

I feel as if either way they are a corporation as soon as Activision's contract is up with Bungie maybe DLC will be cheaper. However until then expect to get the bitter end of the stick. Why complain were consumers weather we like it or not, best way to stick it to them is to keep playing their game. Enjoy the creation process this game is still a shell of what it could be one day. Why complain? I'm grateful. Lol

I already did lol, it's too easy, and that's how I expect all future DLC to be. I've gone back to Borderlands and CoD, finally dropping this piss easy grind-fest of a game. I started just asked TDB came out and now I have literally everything in game, including exotic armors, done multiple ToO flawless etc. I honestly can say I will never spend money on this game again. But you know, I'll always come back to the forums to watch people cry and help me finish that 200 tears bounty.

                    • If TTK is not Markedly better than TDB and HoW I will give this game one last chance at Destiny 2. If that is still no good, I'm done unless something batshit crazy happens.

                      • The way I look at this "dlc/expansion" is that if bungie released something called destiny 2, they'd probably charge me retail price for a new game, a bit like destiny when it first came out. I think that set me back $60-70. So if the expansion is only $40 and I have to buy more smaller dlc's, it probably works out to being the same. The bonus with this method is that I haven't had to play the original destiny from September 2014 until September 2015 like I would lots of other games. I would have gotten bored a while ago if that were the case, bit like assassin's creed for instance. Of course there are things I'd like to change but that is the case with most games that you buy. Nothing is perfect and that's the point. Anything bungie does to change the game sometimes makes it better and other times makes it worse. TTK drops and I imagine it'll be like everything else. I'll play the story missions with 3 characters. I'll eventually get into doing the raid and depending on how quickly things drop, I'll either rank up real quick or real slow. The point is I'll still have everything I want long before the next dlc is released. None of this is a disappointment cause I could have spread it out better and played it less often but over a longer period of time. That's just down to us as individuals.

                        • Probably. I've put a ton of time into Destiny and I've enjoyed it, but the DLC has been lackluster at best. If all we got left to look forward to is continued expensive, underperforming DLC, I'll probably go ahead and move on.
