Is anyone else leaving destiny if TTK fails?
Simple question. If TTK turns out to be overhyped will you leave?
EDIT: Why would I leave if TTK is a disappointment? Because this is the last chance and last straw. I've given bungie to many chances, and too much money. This DLC is gonna be the most expensive and if I get an overhyped Piece of horse shit [i]again[/i] then I'm done.
To be honest though, bungie has Greatly improved the game since the TDB disaster. So I highly doubt they'll ruin this DLC.

Tbh, this game is a disaster. A disaster I've put many hours and dollars into. I will continue to play, not because I'm dumb, but because I enjoy this disaster. If I didn't enjoy what I payed for, I wouldn't have put so many hours in and plan on continuing throwing my hours away.

No. I'm likely leaving before that once it's confirmed I can't re-ascend my favorite Year 1 Legendaries. Short 2 month break from gaming and then hello Fallout 4.

1 ReplyI have a hard time responding to this. I think that with the release schedule as it is now, the only game I would consider leaving Destiny for would be Dark Souls 3, which isn't until next year. There are plenty of good titles coming out, that is certain; but I don't really have anything that interests me anymore. Initially I purchased a PS4 in the hype for Bloodborne, which want coming out for a few months, and I picked up Destiny since it was already released. After many hours on it I decided to invest in The Dark Below, but was moderately annoyed with how hit or miss Crota raid groups were. I've had plenty of occasions where we breeze through every last bit of the raid until finally we get stuck at Crota for 1-4 hours. I put Destiny down in favour of Warframe. Then Bloodborne came out about two weeks later. I was very disappointed with that game. It was for, for a time, but then the challenges just started to disappear. Everybody was freaking out about how you could only evade now and I, as well as most players at my tier, really never used shields anyway. So to make a long story long, I don't think I'll be quitting Destiny if The Taken King bombs. I don't believe it will. As much as we like to think Bungie is trying to constantly make Destiny worse, there fact remains that they are not a bunch of idiots working at the company. I'm certain some of the important people are confused about where this title is going, but they are even more invested in it than we are. Of course we spend money on it, but they have to make money off of it. Every person at my place of employment that plays games has told me either to not get Destiny or, at the least, that they themselves never will. It has a bad reputation, that's really all they need to fix. [b][i]TL:DR[/i][/b]: I won't quit, because there is nothing that interests me. Bungie is more invested in Destiny than we are. Bungie needs to start fixing Destiny's reputation with good content.

I mostly play fps games and a few Kombat (<<get it) games...so when destiny came out I was "maybe I can get into that"...the trailer for the game was what got me to buy it...I got the game played for a few hours and loved it....the story was a little lackluster but still liked it...after a few days I realized that this was the ONLY game I was playing...not a bad thing mind you...the dlc's weren't great but not bad by any means...all I want from the TTK dlc is that feeling I got when I first played it..that "brand new this is an awesome game feeling"...and I feel for the price (40 bux) that's not too much to ask...(or is it??)

Ummm...of course. I can't believe anyone wouldn't. $40 and it is underwhelming as the DLC has been? That would be it for me. I love the game but, the content has worn itself out and asking for 40 and not dilevering would be too much.

Honestly I might leave if it fails. There are new games like Fallout 4 or Halo 5 on the horizon, and I'd actually like to get to play them. That being said, I don't think it will fail. With the content they promised in it, I think I will be having a lot of fun when it drops.

I will definitely consider it, Destiny takes a lot of time if u wanna play it effectively, time that could be spend on better games. I still enjoy it a lot, but on the other hand I still have a tear in my when I see what the game could have been

If you don't like the game now. You won't like the TTK. It's like cod. Every year will be new content with similar gameplay. You either like it or you don't.

I always said i would give it 2 years, it's expected for this type of screw ups, and anyone that plays MMOs or these type of games should know better. WoW was nightmare at the benning and it turned out pretty good. So if bungie gets their $hit together, don't see why this cant be a great game
