Master Chief vs Destiny Guardian (updated)
It's the ultimate battle between Bungie's 2 major game series! (plus 343's Halo)! Which games protagonist will win? That's up to you guys!
Who would win? And why is it Master Chief? I was inspired to do this because of a post in #destiny.

The only way a guardian can really "die", is to be stripped of its light, which I doubt master cheif is capable of doing. Now I know that Spartans have superhuman abilities, but a Nova Bomb is litterally a star collapsing in on itself. I don't think a spartan could take that. People say "oh Master Cheif Beat a forerunner, master cheif did this, did that" but take into account the Guardians perspect of their biggest achievement; VoG. You beat what could Litteraly erase you from existance in seconds, as well as someone who controls TIME, the 2nd biggest aspect of the Universe. Maybe once Destiny Franchuse finishes, we can decide this for real.

2 RepliesWell it depends on what type of guardian... If it's a warlock (voidwalker or sunslinger) they could kill him since they can punch him and regen.. And with a Titan (defender) can bring up a shield... Plus they can just spam him with gjahorn and thorn so I would say guardians would win

34 RepliesNow let's be fair and make it chief from the first halo since destiny hasn't had 14 years to keep adding on to the "lore" (aka play catch up to cod). Halo ce: no abilities couldn't even sprint. Only could carry 2 guns, best one a handgun. Had finite hit points and shield. Pretty much surrounds himself with npc's which is good because always runnin out of ammo. Limited grenades. And could jump like a turtle. Destiny: hell I think we can all agree even a hunter would give chief the stinky pinky.

So in halo 5 I would be HAPPY if MC dies... Still tho why do so many kids play halo? It's like the amount of kids who play GTA

3 RepliesWhy do people make these posts? They're old, repetitive and are just a circle jerk of halo fans or destiny fans. And to be fair. This fight is currently not fair. Destiny has had one game. Halo has had a lot. Along with books and comics. If halo only had the games, master chief would be stomped. But he dosen't. In the books, mc is OP. Because in the books, you can make the Spartans as OP as you want. Because you don't have to worry about game balance. If we give destiny a few books that reveal more about the guardians then we might have a better understanding and comparison. So far we don't see very many feats that the guardians have accomplished that we can compare to the Spartans. The few that come to mind are Saint-14 grappling and killing a Kell with one punch to the face and warlocks being able to ripe space-time. But that's not a lot.

2 RepliesIf you take away all their armor and abilities. Master chief would win. My reasoning: Guardians are just normal people with cool weapons and gifts from the traveler. Master chief is a super soldier bred for war.

2 RepliesThis isn't Berry fair. Its like compairing apples and oranges, so I will do my best. I am not very familiar with halo so this might be bias. But I'm positive that he did not go up against enemies that can control [b]time[/b] and this [b]their own existance[/b] and [b]come out alive[/b] [/b]3 times. [b] MC can destroy galaxies. But... With enough research, gaurdians could, in theory, destroy existence. Hmmmmmm....... What do you guys think?

Guardians have a superior arsenal with rockets that track, guns that poison, guns that deal splash damage so you don't have to directly hit them, guns that can mark his location, shotguns with superior range, etc. the grenades outclass halo's as well, we have zoning grenades, sticky grenades, and great AoE grenades. We have supers that can be used as the ace in the hole in close situations. We have a variety of melee abilities that can save us in close quarters, as well chief has a weak spot on his back that is a OHK without a perk equipped. Lore wise the ghost can gather massive amounts of Intel, is actually mobile unlike cortana, can revive the guardians, pretty sure are immune to bullets, can only be killed by darkness, and basically outclass cortana in every way. I love master chief but he would lose against a equal skill guardian. He's super weak to plasma: hard light, weak to spikers as well: thorn. There's a counter to everything he has and then some.

Almost every single one of these arguments are stupid and extremely one sided according to the fanboy, so let me tell you as a fan of both games...there is something that every halo and destiny gamer needs to know about the chief![spoiler]the master chief is the first guardian and first Titan ever. [/spoiler]
