I don't see why year one guns can't stay relevant. I'll agree that they're obsolete if Bungie announces TTK as a whole new game(Destiny 2). But it makes no sense to trash gear every dlc. I never had to get rid of my old guns in Fallout or in Halo 3 when the heroic map pack came out. Just my opinion.

You had gear for two dlc straight they didn't trash it to the 3rd dlc

TTK = An Expansion If it was just a simple map pack DLC then you would be correct.

Well to be fair, most consumers don't know the difference between DLC and an expansion. Bungie is almost making TTK to be a new game with the price tag, and even a limited edition console for it.
-
Yes, but just because the majority of the community seems to be ignorant to how Expansions work that doesn't mean Bungie is required to bend over backwards to change that.

Now that I think about it, the dark below and house of wolves were both considered expansions by Bungie. So if we didn't have to get rid of our guns for those expansions, then I don't see why we have to now. They even made a system for us to upgrade our old weapons with the house of wolves expansion. Like I said, they're really confusing people and many think TTK is Destiny 2. If so, then we should have to forget our old guns. But I f it's just another expansion, the we have the right to keep them. https://www.destinythegame.com/content/dam/atvi/bungie/dtg/editions/items/expansion-pass.jpg
