I'd like to gear for pvp and was wondering if anyone had input if it were viable.
What I'd like to do is use future war cult gear for the bonus to grenades and supers, and use it wth the monte carlo (the perk being that it has a chance to reset or shorten the melee CD on kills and hits respectively. I know there was mention of an auto rifle buff coming out with the next expansion, I think, that's why I figured it could be viable to use.
To describe my play style, I tend to punch a lot in pvp, when not using the shotgun and use an auto rifle or hand canon for further shots. Since I hadn't played in a while, I'm still trying to get back into the feeling of pvp. My main issue right now is getting one-shotted by shotguns, and accidentally running while looking down the sight of a gun (effectively removing me from looking down the site, and as a result not being able to shoot).
If I do the above strategy with the defender class, I'll have Force Barrier, and being able to have the melee CD up often with the help of monte carlo is what I'm trying to achieve. I'm just not sure how strong force barrier can be. If I were to go with this route I'd also take helm of saint 14 and armour of light perhaps.
If I were to do the same strategy as a striker, I'd use An insurmountable skullfort, but I'm not sure if the health regain would be enough for staying alive often, in pvp, or if the difference is minimal, and am better with something else (such as using No backup plans).
Any advice would be great, thanks!
