With gritted teeth and a deep focus he tugs at the statue.

He thinks of his mother. She could be cold at times when she was training him to use his psionic abilities, but it was all out of affection and concern for her son. He thought of his sister, who despite the fact she didn't inherit the psionic abilities she did not resent nor envy her brother.
