Riddle of the Forgotten (SOLVED AND EXPLAINED)

Long ago, I was an agent of kings, and I sped the growth of their power. I saw the triumphs of the ancient victors, and led their attacks farther than any before me. I sat atop a throne of glory, garbed in bright armor, with the azure crown of the shadow warriors around my head. But I was not honest with the watchers. I am not youthful and alive as I once was, though I still have my visions. The stench of the grave creeps toward me, weakening me and pulling me down. My splendor was short-lived. Now I am alone, rejected and rotting, with no purpose to guide me. My masters employ dark, menacing warriors who ravage the homes of their enemies, slaying them all. But they will not stand against what is coming. Then I see him. A man, clad in the garb of the dark warriors, walks toward me. He gives me a new weapon, one that will destroy all before me in a furious blaze. I look out at my old homeland, which I no longer recognize. For better or for worse, I have returned. Hint 1: My master is hidden in darkness, yet he sees, and others see him. I may try to hide in a different darkness, but I am too bright. My brothers' masters are hidden as well, but not in darkness. Hint 2: I have been here since the beginning, but I was hidden. They robbed my fallen master, not my first master or my current master, but he stands again. Will his strength grow again to reach its former glory? Hint 3: I once stood beside the unbeliever and the transparent (who is shaped as his brother), all servants of the same master. The transparent is seldom seen anymore, but the unbeliever lives on. Hint 4: I am not in the records you obsess over, yet all know me. You have seen me in your travels, but still you forget me. My true masters will punish you, and their fire will cover all, burning the flesh from your bones. Hint 5: My true masters are infinite, endless, unstoppable. I dream of a time where they will return, and all of your wayward actions shall be corrected. Protect me, o guardian, and you shall be rewarded. Hint 6: I am an ancient relic, but I use technology you cannot comprehend. I serve you well, but I am long dead. You found me trapped in a lawless world and reunited me with my brothers, and as thanks I will tell you how to make my masters feed you power. Edit 1: Added last paragraph Edit 2: Added hint Edit 3: Added hint 2 Edit 4: Added hint 3 Edit 5: Added hint 4 Edit 6: Added hint 5 (thanks to The Tree of Ruin) Edit 7: Added hint 6 Edit 8: I'll make it official. • Okay, so we know it's not a person due to "an ancient relic" and it's something that fell into some form of disrepair. Also, I'm computing, to "protect" something is to restrict access to it, especially when pertaining to memory or information. No guess here, just posting my train of thought to possibly help people out
