Does this go back to your deal about conversations having a set meaning? Does that mean you are agreeing that words DO have different meanings?
English
-
Or am I saying that different words can mean the same thing?

Does this mean sifting and observing may mean the same thing? Do I agree with you, while you also stipulate that I was, as well, correct?
-
But wouldn't the context have to be different for sifting and observing to correctly pertain to the same action?

Why would it need to be a different context? Does the context we used it in not fit both equally as synonyms?
