You are equipped with a kitchen knife, and so is your opponent, a man who has just stepped out of the opposite entrance gates to the arena. He spits on the ground and glares at you, readying his kitchen knife. He then slowly begins to circle the arena, studying you.

I circle the opposite way, humming my music. I fake to throw my knife to distract him, then move forward and stab for his knife arm.

He flinches at first, but you are to slow to catch him off guard, and blocks your strike with a slash of his blade, making sparks fly from the friction. He then makes a horizontal strike towards your side.

I side step his knife, plunging mine into his knee

Your blade sinks into his knee, and he screams in pain. He then strikes your cheek with his knife, gashing it open and sending you to the ground, dazed. Blood and dirt engulfs your entire face. The opposing gladiator is kneeled down, clutching his knee in pain, growling.

*playing dead, I wait for him to get ready to strike, then plunge my knife in his brain.*

He drags himself over to you, and raises his knife for a stab when your arm shoots up and impales his head through an eye socket with your knife. Without another noise, he dies quickly, slumping over next to you. The crowd cheers. "[i]Would you like to leave with 1,000 Credits or stay and fight for more?[/i]" the announcer asks from the fencing speakers.
