Oryx is a belief among all hive, an idol that gives them purpose to live

Oryx is a wizard that ascended to another plane of existence

Oryx is an alpha among an entire pantheon of hive gods

Oryx was the first knight, and led an armada into our dimension to spread his influence

Maybe oryx was the first of his kind to come into existence, the darkness first creation his champion. The hive see him as God for his power, and that for he was the first hive to walk this world.
