I actually tried to put some of the generals from WW2 into Sauron, people like Gavin, Ridgway, Rommel, Bradley, and John Frost. Essentially those who commisterated and empathized with their men. I'm actually a little ambivalent about Patton, so I'm surprised he ended up in the mix.
