Hunting Through the Night | Ponderosa Forest, Northern Taeda Vale
Though set back by the surprising strength of the rogues, the monarchy has made an invaluable discovery: the location and destination of both marauders.
Through the dense umbrage, Dante and June ride with a panicked haste. The rebels repelled their ambush. If they were to follow, they would have a slim window to strike them down, but a window nonetheless.
Their steed halts abruptly, bucking wildly in fear. Both riders are thrown from their mount, their bodies crashing against the frozen earth of winter. Purebred horses are supposedly fearless, unknowing of any bane. Then what foul abomination could splice terror into such a illustrious, proud animal?
The answer leapt from the shadows with fangs and talons of a nightmarish design: not one, but five black hounds pounce on the equine being, shredding its hide to bloody ribbons as they feast. Both the Guardsmen gasp the frosty air as if it would be their last breath. Then, out of the darkness of the forest, a bitter blue coat and hair of the like color struts along the dew adorned grass.
"Luciana? What in her grace's name are you doing so far from civilization?"
"Milady requested I come to support you, or whatever."
"I see. You aren't normally one to stain your hands with the crimson fuel of war."
"Well, as you can see I have my pets to service my needs. I was sent to aid you both, but it looks as if I missed my chance."
"They're still out there, and they're headed to Cataluna. We'll need to cut them off, or at least slow them down."
"No need, Ms. Bellicose. I am not one to dispense justice to the immoral, but my gifts will happily oblige."
The massive lycanthropes howl a sinister song, serenading the moon under which they hunt. Remnants of their past lives distinguish each creature as an individual, but they all follow the pack. Luciana raises both her arms in the air, whispering faintly to her creations:
"Come, children, come... Let the hunt begin..."
The inhumane monsters rise on their hind legs, howling, as they dart off in search of their prey.

Blackjack lands in the forest amidst the renegades, and engages his cloaking systems. He unholsters his Barrett, and fits a suppressor to it. Little trophy hunt, huh?
-
A Bloodhound approaches, it's faded eyes rolling in their sockets. The creature is blind, but it's senses are much more acute. The beast charges you, knocking you down and pinning you underneath it's seamless black talons. It bites at your head feverishly, a machine created from unholy aspects of nature.
-
The teeth do nothing to his helmet other than scratch it. He punches the beast in the stomach, releasing his gauntlet blades and ripping a gaping wound in the beast's stomach. Bad doggy...
-
*A wave of light flies through the forest and makes contact with you, rejuvenating you*
-
He stands up, and unholsters his shotgun, firing two slugs into the beast's eyes. Bite me.
-
Edited by Sylok's Defiler: 7/31/2015 3:21:23 AMHIT! The wolf reels in pain, but charges you. As it was already blind, it charges you with a weak but determined stride.
-
He kneecaps it with two shots to the knees. Sit.
-
Dead.
Cobalt finished him off lol.
-
He holsters the shotgun, his cloaking still active. Unholstering his Barrett, he scans for another wolf, and fires, the .50 caliber Incendiary Armor piercing round ripping through the beast's chest. The rifle's suppressor muffles the sound and completely obscures the muzzle flash.
-
HIT! The beast is brought down with a loud shot, and an even louder thump. As it calls to the moon one last time, it sounds less bestial and more human...
-
He lets loose a second shot, into the beast's head.
-
Alas, it is already dead.
-
He holds the rifle up towards the sky. Well then... Interesting enough. He looks for any more beasts, remaining cloaked.
-
Edited by Sylok's Defiler: 7/31/2015 3:01:54 AMHIT! The beast shivers in pain, but it doesn't howl. Instead, it grabs you in its devastatingly powerful bite, crushing your armor underneath its 10,800 PSI bite. In its jaws, it picks you up and slams you into the earth over and over, regardless of the damage of it causes to itself. You have been downed!
-
The malformed monster bites down one last time before it throws your body into a shaded area of the woods. You have met your demise.

Edited by Trashcan Jesus: 7/31/2015 2:53:19 AM
Bud that ain't enough to do anything to tank armor... But hey it just shook all its guys out of a two-foot long gash.
-
It is with a jaw the size of an oven and teeth sharper than Luis' dick.
-
With no force behind them... That's weak.
-
... Savage.
-
Shitshitshitshitshit...... *Starts to run away, throwing knives at the dogs*
-
The hounds strafe and circle around each other, looking for a perfect striking opportunity. Two hounds, similar in size pounce from opposite sides, directly at you. Their grunts and growls sound strangely human...
-
*I draw two knives and slash at their legs, then teleport back to keep immense distance*
-
The beasts meander to new targets. You teleport into the path of another charging bloodhound, its hardened skull crushing your ribs as it propels you into a tree.
