*Following the caravan from the trees, I see one of the smaller hounds, and I leap upon them, raining down missiles and plasma.*

[i]The crooked hound rears its head to you, hearing the subtle mechanisms from your suit before they launch. It lunges at you, plasma and shrapnel just grazing the monster as it catches you in midair, it's vertical jaw snapping wildly at your head.[/i]

*As it closes, I hold the mouth shut with my hand, and fire a charged Plasma (heat) Beam into its chest, trying to keep away from the claws*

*I slide underneath it, then hop onto its back and get into position to ride it.* *I charge up another Plasma Beam*

[i]The monster bucks and thrashes you off into the bony skull of another, bones cracking and blood spouting.[/i]

*I smash the one I flew into with my elbow to stun it, then fire my charged plasma beam into its head, point blank.* *Then, I do a backflip over the one I was fighting before, and fire a seeker missile at it. As the missile leaves the barrel, it splits into five and homes in on the monster.*

*A wave of light flies through the forest and makes contact with you, rejuvenating you*

ahhh... *I look at the location from which it came from* Thanks, Dusk!

[i]The elbow jab has no effect on the beast. It sends a physical shock into your suit, evidence of how dense the bone truly is. The other creature, however, is stunned by the barrage of missiles.[/i] [b]Staggered![/b]

*I tap on my hip twice, and two clips pop out. One leaking light, the other emanating darkness. I load them into my arm cannon.* Annihilate Beam. Fall before me. *I fire a charged beam at the beast, attempting to finish it off.*

[b]HIT![/b] [i]The wolf-like being emits a sound akin to tortured laughter. As it falls to the ground, burning, the durable monster clenches down on your leg an hurls you into the ground, before biting down with its razor sharp teeth in your chest.[/i] [b]You have been downed![/b]

*I'm teleported back in after Dusk patched me up. I'm still hurting, but I can fight.* Let's get a little revenge! *I turn my Thermal Visor on, and begin to hunt down the nearest beast while keeping an eye on my radar*

[b]A raw, tough hide emerges from the shrubbery, growling, waiting for you to make a move. A stray metal chain is lodged in its back.[/b]

Huh. That's odd. Here, let you give you your daily vitamin A(nnihilation)! *I fire a charged Annihilate Beam at it, (He or She?) followed by a Super Missile*

Oh. Well, making sure never hurts. *I search again, looking for something moving this time.*

Argh! *My suit taking the brunt of the hit, and me taking about three eighths of the damage. I scramble away.* Dusk, I need a hand!

*I leap out of a tree and land next to you, and skid, dragging you and then teleporting you away, using my magic to heal you again, looking tired* *I teleport away*

Thanks, buddy. That thing caught me while I finished its sister off. Here, have a little pick-me-up. *My suit opens up, revealing a satchel. I pull a green vial out of it. It has a warm glow to it, and it makes you feel invigorated just by looking at it.* Here, take this. Should give you a boost on energy, and keep you going for a while.
