Edit: ok so obviously I don't think I got my point across very well or at all. I worded it terribly and yeah it looks terrible the way I put it. My point is I think they knew there was gonna be trolls and harassers because they're everywhere. Every streamer has harassers. So my point is I think they didn't take too personally and I think they let it go and I think maybe the community needs to as well. Sure what happened wasn't right and it's very cool that the community is standing up for them. But when the whole forum is overrun by posts of DoD stuff I can't help but feel some of them are just some very thirsty white knights

DoD? What does the Department of Defense have to do with this
-
Dear African Americans, honestly if you didn't see this coming then I'm not sure what to make of you. I mean you're on public transport so douchebags are guaranteed. Even a blind person could see that you were gonna get harassed. You get no sympathy from me because surely you saw this coming so you can handle it so you don't need sympathy Sounds kinda gross doesn't it.
-
Quite gross indeed, but it conveys your message pretty well.
-
Sexist pig. Have some respect. Your "they should have seen this coming and I have no sympathy because they should have seen it" is one of the most sexist things I have ever heard. Sad to see that people actually think like this.
-
lol "sexist pig"
-
Your correct they should have expected it but it doesn't make it right and people like you don't help our struggle of ridding gaming of sexism, discrimination, racism and unjust
-
It's called respect for other people. Maybe you should learn some of that too. Douche bag move on your part
-
You must be one of those throwing the remarks. Part of an open gaming community is that you are free to do as you please, on which ever system you choose. By you telling them that they should have seen it coming, you are excluding them from the right to take part in the community. To me, you are just as despicable as the people who threw the remarks to DoD. You are just like the people who tell a lady who got -blam!-, that if she didn't dress like that, or was so pretty it would not have happened. It is sad that they are not allowed to take part in such events, purely because they are female. And as a community, we should detest what has happened to them, and show them our support, to weed out these douchebags. They are the ones not wanted!!

Edited by Paul Badman: 7/31/2015 10:47:53 AMLook the point is I'm sure they saw this coming and while no I don't think what happened was right I think DoD probably isn't as worried about it as much as our white knight community
-
Don't blame victims.
-
TBH, I don't think that they really thought anybody would act this way in public. And the sad part is, that it is things like this that gives all gamers a bad name. As for the white knight community, while I agree, that people are making more of it than they should, it may also be a good thing, as for once it gets raised that this type of behavior is unacceptable.

Yeah people can be pretty awful in public
