You must be one of those throwing the remarks. Part of an open gaming community is that you are free to do as you please, on which ever system you choose. By you telling them that they should have seen it coming, you are excluding them from the right to take part in the community. To me, you are just as despicable as the people who threw the remarks to DoD.
You are just like the people who tell a lady who got -blam!-, that if she didn't dress like that, or was so pretty it would not have happened.
It is sad that they are not allowed to take part in such events, purely because they are female. And as a community, we should detest what has happened to them, and show them our support, to weed out these douchebags. They are the ones not wanted!!

Edited by Paul Badman: 7/31/2015 10:47:53 AMLook the point is I'm sure they saw this coming and while no I don't think what happened was right I think DoD probably isn't as worried about it as much as our white knight community

Don't blame victims.

TBH, I don't think that they really thought anybody would act this way in public. And the sad part is, that it is things like this that gives all gamers a bad name. As for the white knight community, while I agree, that people are making more of it than they should, it may also be a good thing, as for once it gets raised that this type of behavior is unacceptable.

Yeah people can be pretty awful in public
