Your 'friend' is biased.
You think they kill you the same, but they are still shooting at you 10 seconds after you are dead because it takes so long to register on their screens.
What don't you understand about "when you have a red bar, it seems ok on your screen, but that's not what others see."?

Nope, after that final TLW, thorn, sniper, or shotgun shot I fall to the ground. They don't keep shooting another 10 seconds, they move on because it has registered as a kill for them.
