When is it acceptable to use thorn?
So was playing IB last night with suros and dry rot and running the table with both. Next thing I know I'm in a firefight with a guy. We're both landing shots and he's not dying, he's healing.
Obviously he was using red death. After dying 3 times like this I decided Thorn would be the equalizer. It was. This got me thinking, there should be some form of etiquette as to when to use certain weapons.
For example the red death vs. Thorn is acceptable because the DoT balances RD'S regen perk.
What other weapons balance each other out?

So let's take away the thorn portion of this.
What are reasons you switch weapons mid-match? Do you feel like changing it up for no reason? Adapting to the map? Just feel like trolling? Keep the discussion going.
Also I'm coming up with a gentleman guardians guide to weapon etiquette for sh1ts not giggles.

Red death only heals when you kill. So if you're in a one on one firefight against it and the user is healing, then something else is afoot.

When a dude keeps killing you with thorn do you have to pull it out of your vault and fight thorn with thorn

1 ReplyThorn never really bothered me until this iron banner. Seems like I keep running in to teams with two to three thorns. The others are just running around with shotguns. Anyway I would say when you feel out-thorned.

When j finally get my Thorn, I'm using it ALL THE TIME to get revenge for all the times I got shot with it in crucible.

Team Bungie in all of it's infinite wisdom and planning put Thorn in the game to be used. So use it, that's what it was developed for. Live by the Thorn die by the Thorn. Or just whine ad infinitum about it.😈
