In what way is Cauldron a 6v6 map?

Opening with a fun video I call "Average Cauldron Spawn." Replace the golden gun with any offensive super and grenade spam and you've played every 6v6 game on cauldron. I've personally had worse spawns here, in this clip I'm lucky enough to actually ads before I'm brutalized even though I should have tried to blink but hey hindsight. Alright kids we're gonna talk about cauldron. 3v3? It's an alright map, the spawns still suck but we'll get to that. Rumble it still sucks. Somehow the spawns are just as bad as 6v6. For trials it's a little shotgun heavy but then again every trials map is either shotgun or sniper heavy. Let's talk about 6v6. Control. Iron Banner. It's better than blind watch or Delphi Base as far as control maps go. Just barely. One side doesn't have a distinct advantage because the entire map is the size of a firebolt radius. 6v6 on this map is the embodiment of everything wrong with this current pvp meta. Everything is cqb. Everyone is blink shotgunning. Everyone is using tlw and thorn and throwing grenades everywhere and there's nowhere to run. I could go on a huge rant about how this map shows that the map designers don't talk to the weapon designers or that they just slapped this in 6v6 because they're afraid of large maps. Now when we play control there are six players on one team and six players on another team. That adds up to 12 whole players on a map. Shocking right? Twelve whole people are going to be running around this map throwing their grenades and tossing supers and shotgun sliding everywhere. As anyone who has played destiny can tell you, player movement is kinda quick. Not blindingly fast but enough that you need maps to be a certain size so that you aren't able to get to a spawn point before enemies spawn and not so huge that you never find anyone. If trials were on Bastion half the game would be finding the enemy but I'd rather go on an enemy scavenger hunt than be killed on spawn or one second after spawn over and over or do the same thing to other players. You actually did this right with Anomaly. Aside from the worst B flag position in all of control when you could have put it on the spinning arm (Seriously. Put B flag on the spinning arm. It will be hilarious) the map is close quarters but the areas are all split off nicely and there's actually some good sniper lanes. I hardly ever spawn on someone's radar unless we're getting stomped on. It actually functions alright in 6v6 despite it being an original 3v3 map. Good on you. I guess in this part I'm gonna rant more about spawn killing and spawning on someone's radar. This doesnt apply to trials since reviving is part of the game mechanics and if you spawn your buddy in sniper fire he deserves to get spawn sniped. I believe in the fps genre there is an unspeakable sin that you are never supposed to see a player spawn. Seeing a player spawn feels dirty to me, like pulling off the fake beard of a mall Santa and seeing his 5 o'clock shadow and smelling his gross vodka breath. It's a respect thing, some -blam!-ing chivalry stuff here, you should be able to spawn in, react to where you are and move a bit. And then if I see you we fight or I get the drop in and kill you and vice versa. You pretend the man is Santa until the picture is taken. I'm gonna stop with that analogy now. You can't fundamentally redesign cauldron. I'm not asking the impossible. But please realize this is a 3v3 or rumble map and stop forcing this in 6v6 playlists. Gently remove it from control and clash and iron banner. Hey maybe you can add First Light, Bastion and Skyshock back in and not exile them to the depths of combined arms and then focus on making better maps that don't give me flashbacks to rust from mw2.
