This nerf, is diminishing something people are attached to, worked for, and love about the game. Neither of these throw off the balance of pvp or cause people to be excluded from pve. I am going to rethink my evenings if/when this happens. Can't help but feel skeptical about the timing and intentions of this.

  • Icebreaker can most certainly throw the balance off in PVP. Only 5 seconds of camping needed to get a shot. Pair that with hunters that can go invisible and disappear from radar, it's a little too OP. As for The Blackhammer in PVE, it currently outclasses Icebreaker, which is an EXOTIC, by a huge margin. A change had to happen. With all this being said, I think the changes they are doing are wrong. There are many better ways to keep these weapons' usefulness and make them harder to use, but too tired atm to type it all out. If you do reply, and if I remember, I'll reply with my nerf ideas.

  • BH does have a great perk. Disagree on IB in PVP. It is outperformed by almost every other sniper in stability and is one of the least used snipers in pvp. Ammo is there every minute or so, and camping doesn't work the same in pvp as pve.

  • My nerf idea for the blackhammer is decrease total ammo to 6-8, increase how fast you have to hit precision shots to the quickest possible time needed, and drastically decrease stability of the weapon. Stability decrease can make you lose shots from an already-low amount of shots AND you would need better control over recoil to activate the perk. With this, I believe the blackhammer could keep its perk as is, while still making it a challenge. But, who knows. They may plan on making it an exotic, because it's the only specific legendary that is getting a change in the next update. Even after the nerfs come out, I still think it holds quality to that of exotics, so.
