Medical Wing, Overwatch Central Command Complex. (The Triple C)
Location: Unknown.
The silence of a surgery theater is broken by the rush of doctors, nurses, and stretcher-bearers. Sitting on the observation deck are two black-coated figures, who observe the proceedings with silent but tangible worries. A man is laid on the table, comatose. His injures are extensive. Bullet wounds, a broken right leg, a dozen stab wounds, and shock from blood loss.
The head surgeon speaks quickly to his assistants as they work.
This was the one who jumped on the Potential. Looks like we can reset that leg pretty easy. Smithers, work on pulling those bullets out.
A surgeon-attendant with a metal disk in hand waves it over the bullet wounds. There is the hard clank of metal on metal as the electromagnetic device pulls the bullets out of their cocoons of ruined flesh. An osteospecialist injects a quarter-liter of nano-mechanical repair systems into the man's leg. Another doctor checks the stab wounds for sepsis and fragmentation, then stitches them shut. Their work finished, they wheel the man out of the theater and into the observation section. The figures on the observation deck silently follow.
