4 RepliesThey'll still be useful in normal PvP, but Bungie seems pretty intent on rendering them obsolete in PvE, going off of how they regret making some of the early Year 1 weapons so damn good. Still, they'll be nice collectibles.

A lot of them would still be around if they would have had the HoW features since the beginning of the game, such as Etheric light. I was happy and irritated at the same time when they released it. It breathed fresh air into the game, but got us all fired up that it wasn't there all along. I got rid of supremecy, the devel you know, unwilling soul, the swarm, to name a few. I had newer weaponed that had similar stats and outdamaged them. I'm holding on to as much as I can now in case this happens again.

Only vanilla guns I still have are The Calling (scout rifle has maximum range the bar is literally full) and my Hide and Seek Dead Orbit shotgun which beats out my "perfect roll" Judgement VI (HoW Version) my Judgement has Rangefinder, Rifled barrel, and Luck in the Chamber so its a monster in pvp, my Hide and Seek has Crowd Control (kills == bonus damage for a period of time), Cascade (melee kills increase the reload speed for a short time) and the glorious hammer forged(improved accuracy and range) oh and Accurized Ballistics (more impact and range. I dusted it off a little while ago I had no idea I was leaving such a gem in my nasty vault (I guess I forgot about it for awhile until HoW dropped) Immediately ascended it to 365. ooh its also void so its wrecks praetorians in vog (also has a faster fire rate than my judgement I'm pretty sure its equal to or surpasses found verdicts fire rate). The Calling I haven't used because the perks aren't that good but stat wise it looks like a great rifle for Pve and PVP.

You can still get shadow price and other pre HoW weapons from engrams from Roc and Tiger strikes... Just sayin

We'll see when TTK drops, wether or not said weapons will still be relevant. I'm guessing everything except exotics will become obsolete in this next step of the game. Hopefully Bungie will step up their game and make the new weapons worthy replacements.

1 ReplyShit, I still use my Fatebringer, got it in October. Used it all through Crota shit, and all through HoW shit, till I got an etheric light for it. And I will continue to use it far into Year 2 because bungie wont make a better hand cannon, they already shown how much they suck making new shit. WoC? LOL Six Dreg Pride? LOL tfoh.

6 RepliesThey never told us they would be allowing us to upgrade our day one guns to 365 so unfortunately I, and many other deleted them because of the low damage.. I miss my invisible hand m7.. It's in a better place now.

My LDR, Unfriendly Giant, New Monarchy Armor, that Crucible scout rifle with random Numbers and letters, The Devil You know, And the Comedian were all dismantled :( I was able to somehow keep my Zombie Apocalypse but I regret so much.
