TTK expansion offers all I'm about to name... 1.six new ways to do quest 2.nine different ways to obtain new legendary and exotic weapons/gear 3.six new strikes which includes the revamped exclusive strikes on ps4 4.two new areas to explore that split up into nine different areas that offer hidden boss fights, quest lines,lore,gear,hidden ghost shells,hidden chests,public events and new mechanic's. 5.Eight new pvp maps three new game types. 6.three new subclasses with stories behind them along with stories behind the old ones. 7.new ghost interactions with things you find in the game you want some back story's on. 8.ghost now have abilities not sure what but it's been confirmed by bungie.net and Luke himself. 9.new ghost shells along with new shaders new emblems you can find in a chest or while exploring /in the tower or reef. 10.new vendor reputation like the gun- smith, ship master along with some quest rewards and top it off the speaker will have his own rep and all of these share the same system known as legendary point system. 11.new weapon/armor manufacturer's along with faction allegiance with exclusive gear that you won't get in other factions. 12.new class specific items and weapons armor with class exclusive perks 13.you can now see your intellect discipline strength builds which contain time not a percentage that you haft to calculate now in order to figure how time is spent regenerating your abilities. 14.new menu with the directional pad......to change weapons and use consumables, emotes. 15. New ghost implications to view current quest/bounty on screen without having to pause and search through menus. 16.new vault space that vendors provide as in the the factions and the shader lady that sits alone because she doesn't have a use until ttk is released. 17.new heavy weapon type (SWORD) which quote & quote you gain energy or pick up heavy ammo by killing enemies. 18.emblems that represent factions/foundries give you exp towards the current one that you are representing. 19.new emblems and shaders with animations... 20.new universal point system to use to get said gear from all vendors /exempt xur'. And more stuff they haven't announced..... if that isn't worth 40$!!!!! have fun playing other games my friends... I can't wait for all this content to come out and experience this first hand and answer all my wondering thoughts, by exploring the new implications in this comming up expansion... whole point is you choose what to do with your hard earned cash I'm buying the ttk dlc.... as for the kids well I hope you can get it

$40 is scratch if you have a job... The only people complaining about prices are teens and children and unemployed people.

Dude. $40 is a fûcking steal. Not only is it almost a full on SEQUEL, they're also completely revamping the old game and making old storylines relevant again. They're giving us so much more than just an expansion.

You say it's over priced but it's practically half of the Destiny game itself

Look at it this way. There will be 8 Crucible maps added to The Taken King. If they were Halo maps that would be 3 map packs, since most map packs included 3 maps. That is $30 for the Crucible maps. Another $10 for Story Missions a Strike and a Raid including weapons and armor. So yeah I feel like this is somewhat reasonable pricing for The Taken King.
