I think it's possible to get one random old weapon from the cryptarch but it's very rare..

If you play lvl 18-24 strikes, if you get a engram, you'll have a low chance of getting a legendary vanilla armor or weapon

If you run Tiger Strikes and get a legendary engram as a reward it apparently has a chance of giving you old gear.

I think you can get old stuff from Tiger Strikes, but it's rare.

It's possible, but it's layers upon layers of RNG stacked on you. You first have to get a blue engram to simply drop from the end rewards screen (it's not guaranteed), then it has to be the specific item class you want (primary, heavy, etc.), then it has to dismantle into a Legendary, then it has to be the specific legendary you want, and then it has to have a good roll. It's not worth the time investment.

Nope, not worth it. Lol. However, I got one of my first exotics (Suros) from a Legendary engram that dropped from a Tiger Strike back in vanilla days.
