Old perks are being retroactively altered with taken king, and old weapons are going to be completely left behind in every aspect of the game except maybe normal crucible because of the damage output. Tell me again why they should be kept.

There isn't any proof that weapons won't be brought along from year one. And when the dark below came out everybody said the old guns would be useless but they weren't, the difference between 300 and 331 was pretty small. If the new weapons don't perform well the old ones will still be desired.

Considering it was a 2 max level jump from vanilla to TDB, it was unreasonable for anyone to sat that weapons would be left behind. We're talking a bit more than a 2 level jump here...
