Why report someone for a poor connection? That seems rather petty. I understand the lag issues people are experiencing, but don't blame the player, blame the game.

  • if i see I have a red bar, I just leave the match. Because you can feel you are cheating others. And besides if they have money for a tv a console game and dlcs why cant people afford a decent connection. It is an online game only after all.

If I'm not hosting with a poor connection then I'm the one being cheated. Some people live in areas that don't support high speed connection, but an individuals connection wouldn't be an issue if Bungie had dedicated servers. Why doesn't Bungie, with their $500 budget and overpriced DLC, cough up the dough for a few dedicated servers? Planetside 2 has megaservers and no one had to pay a dime for that game.

  • ask activision. I would have never supported this game if it was any other company but bungie. I really dislike activision.

  • But Activision is merely a Publisher, it's the responsibility of Bungie to support and maintain their game as a developer.

  • i think its a little more deep than publisher, I think, look a titanfall from a brand new company, i think the servers came from microsoft or am i wrong?

  • Actually EA was Titanfall's Publisher and Respawn developed it. Here's an excerpt from an article regarding Microsoft's cloud servers:
With the Xbox One, though, the company (Microsoft) opened up its global server farms to game developers
So as you can see, the developers use dedicated servers to support their games where the need arises.

  • yeah, i knew i had it wrong thats why i asked but in destinys case then servers would come from microsoft and sony i guess. But i think publishers have the money to make the deals and stuff. Idk i just feel like, it works like this: developer just worries about making the game and publisher marketing, pricing and giving the developers money to finish the project. And somewhere in there bungie needed to ask activision for servers.
