I love halo but lore wise, guardians have enhanced physical qualities. Plus guardians agave much better technology and space magic. Finally in lore guardians almost always have a super charged they just need time to recharge. So guardians. Also, guardians a have thorn and last word. So, f*ck, cheif gets .33'd and only gets two shots with his BR.

The Spartans don't have super speed, they are just faster, if you get what I mean. They aren't gods, they're just really good.
-
Hunters (the fastest class in destiny) don't have super speed either, Spartans can run up to 60mph give or take a few, I don't recall the grimoire stating Hunter could run anywhere near that fast
-
Umm, the fastest Spartan was jelly, and she could run close to 30 miles per hour. Hunters aren't faster than Spartans, although Titans can actually move faster than hunters in game. I'm just trying to say that Spartans don't have super speed, they are just really fast.
-
There's a spartan named jelly? And sorry I couldn't remember exactly if it was 60 or 30
-
Lol auto correct bites me in the *ss again. I meant kelly btw. And most Spartans reached twenty mph iirc.

Yeah I just wanted to make sure.

Edited by Rojo: 8/3/2015 10:50:50 PMDid you just state lore from Destiny over lore from Halo? Remind me why idiots are allowed on the Internet.

I don't get what your saying. Halo had a much better in game story than destiny, and you actually cared about the characters. I'm just saying that guardians are more powerful than Spartans. Master chief is only alive because of his impenetrable plot shield, which obviously counts here. And I assumed that we were counting cortana as part of this too right. Because a guardian most certainly comes with his ghost.from what I've seen, ghosts regularly need five or six seconds to bring a guardian back to life. And it's pretty obvious that legendary gear from guardians is much better tech than that of the Spartans and the UNSC. In the grimoire, it mentions teaching beyond the Galaxy. But those links were cut of. So honestly, guardians have it better than spartans. And with golden age stuff like Suros regime and stuff like vex mythoclast, Spartans don't stand a chance.
-
A guardian can die with one shot to rocket, one shot with a sniper, and plenty of other things. Spartans an as well but Master Chief simply isn't an ordinary Spartan. He has luck, Cortana, and an entire array of special skills. A normal guardian wouldn't stand a chance.
-
First off, you can't use luck as a bonus. Yes it's part of his story, but it's just a plot shield. Second, we have no idea how powerful the guardians shields are. What I said at the bottom of my first post was a joke aimed at the and TLW. We do know that Chiefs armor is the same as the other Spartan twos, and that means pretty flawed, the shields are weak, don't always work, and the armor is especially vulnerable to plasma burns. In comparision, guardian shields don't seem to appear in lore, but if their armor can deflect most of their weapons, that means that it's pretty strong. It's pretty self evident that guardian guns are much more powerful than Halo guns. I really don't think there is much that the Spartans can do except get up close. If they even get there, supers would finish them off.
-
There really wouldn't be a super in a 1v1 and Chief still has faster reflexes than any guardian out there. The man can see and dongle plasma cannons with a quick glance and side step. No matter how good a guardian's armory is, he wouldn't be able to land enough shots on Chief to even get close to killing him.
-
Chief has been shot by regular human bullets before while he was looking at the attacker. He's not neo, he's just fast. Plasma travels slower and that's why he could dodge it.but in the destiny universe, one would only need to shoot him once or twice. Whereas he might not be able to penetrate the playing of a titan. Also, why wouldn't supers count. They're one of the three main abilities of a guardian. It's not like master chief doesn't have stuff. He would have a drop shield. My point is. Destiny is so much more technologically advanced than halo, it's ridiculous. But it doesn't matter, because neither of these characters are real, and neither will ever fight the other.
-
A guardian wouldn't be able to have a super because it would have to charge. Seeing how there is a fairly long charge on a super we could bet that a guardian wouldn't have a chance to use it before the fight is over. Although, I still believe the armory of a guardian doesn't make them capable of taking Master Chief. If you've read the books (which I hope you have) you'd know that he is certainly an above average Spartan whereas a causal guardian is simply a guardian. Nothing more, nothing less. Chief excels where others don't and is able to think quicker and react faster than most. Plus, with Cortana by his side I don't see how a ghost could ever provide enough intel to get the upper hand.
-
But lore wise, supers don't charge, they recharge. And if their both coming in fully equipped, then it makes sense that the guardian would have everything at his disposal.
-
A guardian doesn't walk into any area with their super fully charged, they have to charge it themselves. Nowhere in-game does a guardian spawn with full super energy so it would only make sense they don't in this scenario. If anything, the should be using whatever they normally would use in-game. Chief an Assault Rifle and a guardian would be more miscellaneous.
-
Can chief flip elephants in lore?
-
What does that have to do with anything exactly?
-
I was trying to make the point that lore and gameplay aren't always the same. Lore wise, it's pretty obvious that guardians would have the upper hand. But gameplay wise, chief probably has an advantage.
-
Lore from armor pieces state most physical abilities, i.e. strength and speed, are from field drivers in guardian armor, not the guardian himself.
-
Guardians do not have "enhanced physical abilities". Chief does. Guardians can fly to the asteroid belt. Spartans/Halo tech allows them to fly out of the Galaxy, and get back for lunch.
-
You do realize MC has enhanced abilities too? He can run 60 mph and is strong enough to survive a free fall from space... Guardians die from a 20ft fall.
-
He can also survive a nuclear blast and outer space without needing ships
-
Which is why halo's story is broken. He can do all of that without explanation. Before you say "Because he's a spartan", there were other Spartans too, but they're all dead or *ahem* MIA, so he certainly isn't invincible. Besides, the chief can die, guardians can't, because of ghosts.
