Crota was almost invincible in our existence (grimoire).
This is why he was considered a "God"
His weakness was his own sword.
A Scarab would of been torn apart.
As for Master Chief, he is clever so he can outwit a new Gaurdian. Legends and Vangaurds might be a problem.
