"What's to do around here?" Jae asks curiously.
"Yeah I mean old Cedyetica has some pretty nice places around here right?" Evie asks.

"what do you kids usually do? Other than fight crime and leave people on top of buildings in the middle of the night."

"I cheer", Evie says. "And I'm majoring in Business" Jae says uncollapsing his crossbow. "I mean for us, this is our enjoyment...we save lives every night, prevent bad things from happening. We hell people when they're danger, when no one else can." "Our mom used to tell us: "[i]Hard times don't create the hero, but that during the hard times, the hero within us awakens."[/i] "She was referencing towards dad..." Evie said.

"I see. You guys enjoy being the heroes. Kai is a good guy hell he's the one who stopped me from being a thief. Thanks to him he offered me a job as security."

"Well obviously Mom and Dad are our source of inspiration." Jae says. "You were a thief?" Evie asks. "Were you ever arrested? Charged with anything?"

"Yeah I can see that. I didn't grow up with any parents. I didn't even know my parents. No I never got caught."

"Growing up in the streets...so you learned how to adapt. How to survive by any means", Jae adds in.

"Yeah. My parents abandoned me when I was young. They left me at an orphanage and that's where it all started."

"Have you met them since?" Jae asks. "Jae!" Evie says barkingly. "Oh right, sorry...just forget I asked", Jae says awkwardly.

"No it's fine. I've never seen them and I most likely never will."

"Yeah...don't worry, in time you'll have a family an-" Jae says before Evie hits him. "Like I said- the future has much in store for you." Jae says instead. "So do you live in Centra too?" Evie ask curiously.

"Yeah I hope so. Yeah I live in centra but really it's an old hideout where me and my three man team of thieves used."

"Your team?" Jae ask.

"Yeah we were a 3 man team and we were all orphans but they were at a different orphanage. I met them in grade school. So at my orphanage it was tough a lot of kids and mean adults. I thought I was going to die of starvation until one day I decide to steal some bread. I didn't get caught the first few times but they caught on and I was punished but that only made me better. School came around and everyone knew I was a thief and nobody liked me but I didn't care. Until one day two boys my age came to and said they were in the same situation and they liked me. So later I ran away from the orphanage and took them out of there's. We were three boys living on the streets so we though we should make a hideout so we did. We grew up being thieves and as we got older we got better and started taking bigger jobs. It was the perfect three man team. Me as the hacker Jack as the psion and Fatea as the cyborg. But one day on our biggest heist a mistake I made cost me their lives."

"Damn, it sounds like they were your only family", Jae says. "...your mistake?" Evie asks.

"They were my only family and I'd rather not talk about that part."

"Right...sorry", she says. "Just like Dad...I mean his parents sent him off for his own safety, because apparently people were looking for him. He bonded with 4 others, Malachi, Blaise, Tessa and this other girl Olivia." Evie says. "You probably heard about Malachi. Blaise and Tessa, his older sister figures, were his guides...he'd learn all the secrets and tricks from them. But our uncle was like a mentor to him, that's why he refuses to watch him get killed." Jae adds.
