Now let's be fair and make it chief from the first halo since destiny hasn't had 14 years to keep adding on to the "lore" (aka play catch up to cod).
Halo ce: no abilities couldn't even sprint. Only could carry 2 guns, best one a handgun. Had finite hit points and shield. Pretty much surrounds himself with npc's which is good because always runnin out of ammo. Limited grenades. And could jump like a turtle.
Destiny: hell I think we can all agree even a hunter would give chief the stinky pinky.

Halo ce came out b4 u were born, what more do u expect

Na quite a bit older than halo here, but thanks for trying to play with the big boys junior.

Nice job at comparing a older game to a new game. What you can do in a game (especially that old) doesn't tell you his abilities. Guardians die by the Darkness. Spartans don't die is there saying and for good reason.

The reason I compared to a much older game was for the exact same reason the original post was including all the lore. Please explain to me how taking stuff from the novels and presenting it as gameplay any less despicable than my comparison. "Spartans don't die" just a saying there's lots of dead spartans
-
The lore is the only way you can argue because that is the facts. Games limit you because they don't want you to be too OP.
Sorry Destiny has non.
-
And I argue the lore is the only way chief can win. He sure didn't bring it in the last halo game I played. Granted I quit after a few hours from boredom.
-
So you're comparing a person with full legendaries and an exotic not to mention Gjallarhorn to the first generation of halo armor? Nope. Destiny came out by halo 4. Chief took down a halo ring, rode a bomb into a covenant super carrier, and survived falling from atmosphere. A guardian couldn't live falling from a building.

I know halo didn't have dlc so that skews heavily in destiny favor. But halo fans tend to include "lore" so... If you woulda said a guardian couldn't survive the drop in from atmosphere you would have had me hands down. But you had to say arrogantly "from a building" and your still quasi right except that whole self resurrecting mechanic.

You do realize a game made in 2001 had a lot more restrictions then games made now
-
You mean it's not fair to compare a game to a different game 14 years it's senior, the deck stacked a little in favor of destiny. Yea that was kinda the whole point of my post. When everyone's quoting lore and stats that aren't backed up with actual gameplay. I just wanted to present the mirror image argument.
-
A year of play in halo four would win
-
And destiny 4 would eat halo 4 lunch. I think you and I are destined to do this forever
-
Ha ha no.
-
Don't worry lil guy precious halo 8 will be be better than destiny 4

Grenades is a push as both have regular and sticky. I admit the utility grenades aren't worth writing home about. The magnum being better than "whatever"destiny has is a bit of a stretch. TLW alone is comparable to dmg n range, but is faster and has less recoil.
-
You obviously have never played hlo CE then. That magnum alone has the the range of a sniper. Its damage is way more than what TLW can do.
-
Never played ce, why cause my opinions different. Look boyo if you need my halo resume here it goes. When halo came out just about every Saturday for well over a year I'd get done with work go to neighbors house an LAN party till dawn. I remember as good as the magnum zoom was, there is no way it was sniper quality. That's just your memory screwin with ya. If you don't believe me just youtube halo ce 2001 multiplayer, even zoomed in on blood gulch from right cliff side the scope is meh when aiming at structure. Maybe you remember it better in pve where there wasn't room for a sniper to stretch his legs. As for it putting out more damage. both guns kill in the same number of hits just TLW gets those shots off faster.
-
The M6D magnum kills a Hunter (from Halo) in 2-3 shots. Try again.
-
How is that relevant unless we know what the time to kill a hunter(halo) with the last word is. Different alien species = different physiology, different technology.
-
No u don't. You only compared the halo that came out over a decade ago. Sprint was like the future then
-
Buddy, the Spartan suits back then were at their first stages. They were too heavy if my knowledge on Halo lore is correct
-
The Mk. V suits according to lore still allowed for sprinting, if I remember right. It just wasn't an option readily available in the games. Remember how you could sprint in Reach even though that predated the events of CE.
-
If you take everything that is Halo vs. everything that's destiny halo wins before getting out of bed. I posted to put things on an even playing field, by limiting the series to their first entry. The whole rest of the original post is full of the "lore" argument.
