So according to the latest news, you will not be able to upgrade legendary year one weapons/armor. All those dragon strikes for Hopscotch and guess what... there will be stronger ones out. Those fancy adept weapons from trials... pfft sit down, we got bigger and better ones coming. Oh wait, the mighty Fatebringer will be no more. Gotta love the direction this game is heading in. 10 years people this is the plan. Mean while, $1000 later, regrind again.
In case you people still want to call it a MMO *cough From Bungie-
Destiny is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Activision. Released on September 9, 2014, Destiny marked Bungie's first new franchise since the Halo series. Set in a "mythic science fiction"
I love it! The flames are rising in the forums now. So many similar topics all over the place. I might change my name to Firestarter. Keep up the good work. This stuff is gold, especially when bored at work. I need more entertainment. Not sure how long this topic will stay alive before it's nuked like a previous topic I created. I also appreciate the defenders justifying their hard earned time. Keep telling yourself it wasn't all for nothing.
Picture your favorite car... Do you buy the next model each year or do you hold onto it because you love it? Too expensive, no problem. Do you buy new ice cream every week or do you stick with what you love? You have your comforts and so do I.
Have a nice day!

My question is regarding the old levels, could someone still use a fatebringer in vog if they wanted to ?! Or is it the case that they're not increasing vault space and as such you'll need to get rid of stuff to accompany the new more powerful stuff, also in the text it says older lefe faries, does this necessarily mean all currently available ones or just vanilla or maybe everything besides raid gear ?!
-
"Oh no, babby can't use his overpowered Fatebringer anymore, and has to move on and use his skills to progress!" Deal with it.
-
All I know is when an option to ascend my fatebringer arises in destiny 2 or 3 guess what. I'll still have it. I'll still be using it. Say what you will but if you trash all your old shit you are dumb. I'm not saying you should keep everything. I'm just saying I will keep the weapons that brought me the most joy. Plus there is always nightfalls and crucible.
-
But I had a hell of a time doing it. Now I can do it again for all new reasons. You'll be fine, I promise.
-
I am actually happy about it. I know my progress will be "lost" but I had fun doing it. That's what matters.
-
At least I had some sort of fun and something to do to kill a lot of time.
-
Atleast the 1 year beta in over and we can start playing the acual game now....
-
Everyone stop bitchin. You can still go into crucible with it!
-
News flash. The grind is the game!
-
Year 1 won't be as powerful, not useless. Even when the weapon max was 365, I was wrecking shop with a 300 fusion rifle in both PvP (IB and reg.) and PvE.
-
Cum september your grind means nothing. Cause I pulled out :) See what I did there
-
My grind means I can start on some cool new content straight away and start finding even more powerful stuff. It's also helped me meet some great people and it's been fun as hell. It's a game that I never thought I'd enjoy as much as I have. Looking forward to the next chapter.
-
didn't Deej or maybe cozmo tweet that people shouldn't shard anything yet?
-
Lost interest in the game anyways. Bye Bungie,Bye Desticles, Bye Forums of Immature Trolls
-
Cool man
-
Cool with me. I'm ready for a change.
-
If this game lasts 10 years (I doubt it) then this kind of logic translates to: Don't play the game until 10 years worth of DLC has come out! My time invested in Destiny Year One was great. I've had a ton of fun playing with my friends as well as with some good randoms from the game and community. I look forward to the new gear and weapons in Year Two. I enjoyed my Year One gear during Year One.
-
Come right now, this post will be hidden!
-
What? I'm out this isn't the game I signed on for. Screw Bungievi$ion for destroying what could've been a truly epic game into one big hamster wheel of grinding only to see it invalidated by their cash grabbing.
-
Relevant
-
Yes because I didn't use any of the weapons or gear I levelled up. Just stuck it in the vault and waited for year 2. Or you know I could have done the sensible thing and have used those weapons, like everyone has been doing, during year one. No one would really be bothered about not bringing PoE weapons because they're garbage so obviously anything useful has probably be used for about 6 months.
-
Not really, you grinded to stay relevant with the current level reqs...the new expansion will only ask for the same devotion as the previous one did.
-
Go and play battlefield or cod then. This obviously isn't a style of game you enjoy.
-
I'm primarily a pvp player so it's not that big a deal.
-
I say again... We may not need to upgrade anything. Calm yourselves.

Had fun with friends.. have all exotics.. so yeah it was worth it!
