Do you people think you are going to reach lvl 40 immediately? With light levels gone, you will essentially be level 20 again. That's 20 levels to progress through and current gear should help. Yes it's not going to be the all powerful anymore but it will give you the leg up to obtain lvl 40. It just won't be the best anymore.
