Problem is everytime I've tried a new gun it's been garbage compared to the old stuff. Progression is only as good as the gear they create for it. Their track record of better gear hasn't been good.

That's the problem I'm seeing. Instead of making good stuff they'll just try to make the old stuff irrelevant.

Yeah they are artificially creating difficultly and grind by making guns worse.
