Guardian. Destiny is 1 year in, and we barely know anything about our guardian. Destiny is a 10 year franchise.
The only way a guardian can really "die", is to be stripped of its light, which I doubt master cheif is capable of doing.
Now I know that Spartans have superhuman abilities, but a Nova Bomb is litterally a star collapsing in on itself. I don't think a spartan could take that.
People say "oh Master Cheif Beat a forerunner, master cheif did this, did that" but take into account the Guardians perspect of their biggest achievement; VoG.
You beat what could Litteraly erase you from existance in seconds, as well as someone who controls TIME, the 2nd biggest aspect of the Universe.
Maybe once Destiny Franchuse finishes, we can decide this for real.

Do you realize how destructive that is. People miss with it all the time. 4: The forerunners are VoG and a half. They could be counted as gods. They can kill you with a flick of their wrist if the wanted to. 5: Guess we have to wait for even more DLC.

We are talking 1 on 1 here... if it was a full fireteam, then yes, Guardians would win. But a single guardian alone against Master Chief would lose.
