Bungie has yet to clearly explain what this whole deal is. Also, this shouldn't be new if you've played any MMO or games similar to MMOs. Weapon changes and weapon becoming irrelevant. There is nothing new. A great example is WoW.

  • But destiny isnt a real MMO. It hasnt got crafting, pets(dinklebot dont count) battleaxes or any other mmo things, its just has mmo elements I think why their doing this is to have a fresh, balanced start to crucible and pve

If this isn't a mmo, why does it have mmo style gear progression? This game is supposed to be a ten year adventure, but it's not practical to throw out all of our hard work every 12 or so months. On top of that, the guy above tried to justify it very poorly saying wow does this, but wow has a mechanic that turns your outdated gear useful. I mentioned above two of my characters that are using 10+ year old gear today.

  • Maybe its cuz of "broken" pve guns like icebreaker or Gjallarhorn? On top of the nerf, they are stuck at 365 making them even less likely to be used to nuke oryx

  • And I hope you're right about the fresh cleaner PvE and PVP. And like I said, games similar to MMO's.

My shaman is wearing the exact same gear she got in burning crusade - along with 2 fel edge battle axes, and my priest is still wearing the dress from the first boss in aq20.
