Bungie did screw up first year, I'm not on their side at all. Obviously gear lasting for less than 4 months is stupid, that's why I said they need to give a warning at least 3-6 months before next expansion. The fact that they haven't is obvious, because they don't have enough content to keep us hooked.
If transmog was available, everything would still be ok, that's why WoW players don't rage about it. But I think at this point year 2 gear will last for a year, but obviously throughout the year weapons with slightly more damage will come out as new raids are released. I don't think they can be that dumb enough to make gear obsolete so quick again.

tramsmog wasnt always there. they only added that a couple years back. it was added for a reason though and it works in games like WoW and Diablo, but Im not sure it would work in a setting like Destiny.

Yeah I remember it came out during Wrath I think. It can work and they need something like this in order to keep us grinding. WoW has so much to do besides trying to get new weapons all the time. There's mount farming, loot farming for transmog etc. This game needs something like that, and transmog would be a good start.
