I completely agree with you all the way. What im saying is that ppl will move away from oldder gear naturally. But if for whatever reason i still want to hold in to some gear like old original raid gear... I should be able to and it wont harm amyone ir anything. Ive already bought the regular destiny game plus the dlc and now pre-ordered the 80 dollar digital edition. I pretty much have every gun in the game and multiple setups of them. Not goimg to keep all of it and i still have room in my vault because i always narrow down amd don't hoard... But im just saying this who deal if progression will take care of itself. Let the players have the freedom to do with their gear what they want. They will always move forward but it would still be really cool to still have an ild favorite gun from years back whan you started the game. A lot of games cant say that amd thats where destiny is different amd im sure the hardcore fans would appreciate it.

What I'm gathering from what you're saying (please correct me if I'm wrong) but are you under the impression that they are getting rid of your old gear, like deleting it from your vault at some indeterminate time? If so, I do not believe that will be the case. Old Legionaries will still be available, it's just, after some time, they will no longer be a viable choice to use in combat. I hate this method of forcing players to move forward as well, but as a veteran MMO player (WoW, Guild Wars 2, Ragnarok Online, Elders Scrolls Online, Wild Star Online) it's a time proven concept, and as much as I don't like the idea of some of my most favorite weapons becoming obsolete, I have come to the conclusion that I can find new ones that I'll learn to cherish. Hell, I still have my Thunderfury legendary from Vanilla WoW, hits for nothing, but it's the nostalgia that is invoked when using it that made me keep it through out my WoW career.

I hear ya. Its the same for most of us. I would like to bring my vanquisher with me and there is really nk reason that shouldnt be possible. I dont think they are going to delete guns or armor but if this is the pattern we are headed for i will now take a more minimalistic route when building my armory amd put less time into the game if all im going to do is basically be forced to delete and replace everything that isnt exotic. I really only want to keep iron banner amd raid weapons amd a few other purple guns and raid armors. Thats it. And why would they not want us to be able to keep those armor sets from raids past. Its tells a story as bungie used to say. Its just all very hypocritical because they struggle to balance everything then nerf everything and now they want to retroactively nerf or wipe out everything we worked for without giving us options. Again this makes the player exoerience mire cookie cutter amd generic in aome respects because it goes against a lot of what bungie was preaching back when they first presented the game at e3 before it came out. I get the flow of some mmo type games but bungie was teying to distance themselves from that label when desriny came out. I like that the game evolves but it just needs more stability in its economy and the feeling of investment that the player puts in.

Planet Destiny just posted this, regarding an interesting remark from Cozmo, the new community rep. Jump to 5:56 in the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KptNdERnYUg

Edited by Artimise Flare: 8/4/2015 11:24:06 PMI get you there, I honestly wouldn't mind it if the old gear tied into the new gear. Like you get to keep it, but in order to advance, you had to get materials from the new raid to upgrade it. You can then have the option to keep the old aesthetic, but get the new stats ya know? OR They do what Guild wars and WoW has done, allow you to get the new gear, but use the skins from your old armor. Best of both worlds I think. Since not everyone likes the looks of the new weapons and armor ya know.
