Not necessarily. I love my Iron Regalia Titan and nearly all my Iron Banner weapons, and don't get me started on my VoG gear. I want to run VoG with my Kabr cosplay at least once a week.

As a casual I take offense. Not true. This move makes perfect sense to me. Also first year weapons will probably still be pretty sick against first year missions and enemies. I see no issue.
