I know how ppl feel about their gear but I agree with this statement. This is coming from a guy who loves Fate. Its the first weapon I upgraded to 365. But its the nature of the beast. All loot based games move on to other gear after awhile. WoW did this. Diablo. All of them. A lot of you may have not played those games but they are still around for a reason. They are fun and the gear is still cool over the years. Eventually there has to be bigger better things to keep progression alive and the game fresh. Bungie doesn't need to spend time on trying figure out new mechanics to upgrade older gear. Put Fate in the Vault and remember the good old days. Move on! Now what they could do is let players have a visual vault/storage where you can go in and look at your old gear. Maybe even let the players put their own notes about the weapon/armor and why it means so much to them.
