So offer better weapons but why remove the viability of old weapons? If there is something TRULY better, then people will flock to it like hopscotch pilgrim. If weapons with dreg and shank burn are what's being offered through PoE, then clearly people will stick to something they already own. If a new hand cannon is truly better than fatebringer, people will want the new gun. But if once again the weapon is lackluster, now we are stuck with a crappy new hand cannon because old faithful fatebringer won't do enough damage.
