And let's not forget you're comparing a book full of shit chief can't actually do, vs the destiny game where the guardians can actually do their abilities.
Stuff described in the halo books, chief can't do in game. He can't run that fast, his reflexes aren't that good, and he's not that good a shot.

That said- Id like to see a book for the Guardians. Then maybe they'd stand a chance. As is right now, what they do in game just doesn't compare to what chief does in cutscenes or the books.
