Why Work for OG weapons when TDB weapons will nullify them? Why work for TDB weapons when HoW weapons will outclass them? Why work for HoW weapons when TTK weapons will outclass them? It's a flawed mentality and doesn't make sense. Personally, I'm glad there will be a change of weapons. It'll be exciting trying out the new gear and weapons and finding your favorite one. Also Exotics will be upgradable so no loss there.
Also, old legendaries will still be useful in PvP (except IB and ToO).

that's the problem though. the weapons have not gotten better with each DLC. they have gotten worse. that's why everyone is in an uproar about losing current legendaries. haven't heard one person say they're going to miss a single gun from HoW. but there are multiple posts about losing VoG weapons. Bungie is doing it all wrong.
