People keep using the argument that this happens all the time in mmos. But here's the thing, it's not the same at all. In an mmo, your weapon is only a data value. The only thing important about it is how much damage it does. In destiny, you get a feel for the weapon. You grow comfortable with it. To have that taken away from you every year seems to me like they're getting rid of weapons as soon as you grow comfortable with them.
